Cascade Siskiyou Monument Deceptive Photos Continued: Here again the photographer, (seen in picture to try to present a prospective, of the devastation they are misleading the viewer to believe) takes the photo at the end of the grazing period showing no progressive photos as the grass is being utilized. Secondly, the photo was taken far upstream from the photo below (notice the size of the mountain at right) in a naturally wide straight area of the stream. Thirdly, the dry ground in the background was during a year of non-irrigation by the owner's leases do to the exchange turmoil. The below right photo shows the ranches potential at full use under private ownership.

In the second photo at left, besides finding a spot well south of where the above photo was taken, shows willows that were there before BLM's management as this area naturally had this vegetation that changed only when high water changed the stream. The photographer tries to implicate that the above picture now looks like the picture below which it does not. Secondly, they try to implicate that willows in this high water level area stabilize the bank, during the 1996 flood many stream areas were altered by 10-12 foot water flows in this area traveling in excess of 8 feet per second. Gravel bars that are established with growth in the middle of a stream will more than likely destabilize a streams banks by forcing the water to cut into the outer banks causing greater erosion and loss of top soil. This has been documented by the Soil Conservation Service. Thirdly, the written description below the photo implies that four years of BLM management and ownership has created this "condition" which is completely and totally false. The willows were there prior to BLM's management and they will continue in their cycle through flood and draught regardless of anything BLM does. Fourthly, they imply that the stream and ranch in general is better off now that BLM manages the ranch. This fallacy is evidenced by the photo below of the ranch before BLM's management. At the time this photo was taken, BLM's reports on the ranch presented a far different description using words such as "degraded condition" and other absolute and total lies. Their aim was to acquire the ranch at all costs, even at the deception of the public and their representatives. Prior to their acquiring of the ranch, the BLM presented to the public in defense of their acquiring the ranch that they would irrigate as well as maintain the ranches quality. This as well as many other promises they used to quell the publics concern were never implemented. In fact none. Fifthly, the photo at left shows how degraded the pasture land (on the hill in distance they strategically hid) that used to yield hundreds of acres of productive feed is being turned into weeds.

Where farmers may not be able to maintain optimum ranch practices do to financial or physical limitations or indeed ownership inattention at all times in history; ranchers present an ongoing development that throughout the years by theirs and their family's efforts and the efforts of new private owners, the land will improve and be productive. Where as when land is given to a bureaucracy, it starts and continues to be a financial burden to every citizen. And with this burden an expanding bureaucracy that will stop at nothing to protect and defend its existence as these photos and the BLM's "CSEEA Draft Management Plan / Environmental Impact Statement" full of useless data and deceiving descriptions to the actual facts; bear witness.
