American Patriot Party Endorsements:
The American Patriot Party Endorses Candidates outside it's own party that most closely follows our aims and goals for a free country.
In 2004, the Patriot Party gave Limited Candidate Endorsement for President Michael Peroutka of the Constitutional Party, for President. Note: The Oregon Patriot Party had abstained from that endorsement. In 2008, Ron Paul was endorsed by a number of states through the primaries; Upon endorsement of Chuck Baldwin by Ron Paul, some states members followed with their votes.

The two candidate voting system:
This system allows the voter to vote for the candidate he believes will be the best person for the job;
If that person does not get enough votes, his second choice is recorded.
This allows the voter to vote his conscience first without throwing away a crucial vote.
An example would be, if you believed Ron Paul was the best person for the job as president but did not want to loose a vote to another Republican Candidate that may or may be more popular You would simply vote Ron Paul as your first choice and the more popular candidate for second choice;
If Ron Paul did not carry the votes necessary to be a contender, you would not loose anything;
This is because the second choice vote would automatically engage and be counted that candidate.
This innovative voting system allows for greater options to vote your conscience.

Taxes
The American Patriot Party and Oregon Patriot Party, Championing the "No Names No Numbers Tax";
The States Liberty Bill, Federal Government Patriot Tax System Reform Bill, Zoning Abolishment Bill; The Private Person and Property Security Bill and the Freedom Responsibility Bill which places the responsibility on every court and government agency at every level to have the power to refuse laws that it deems contrary to the Inalienable Rights guaranteed by the Declaration of Independence as intended by the founders letters and constitution of this country without reprimand by federal, state, county or other entity, thereby empowering the responsibility defined in the Declaration of Independence wherein it states clearly:
"That, to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed; that, whenever "any form" of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the "right" of "the people" to "alter" or to "abolish" it, and to institute a new government, laying its foundation on such principles, and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness...

Note, that when this was written, it did not mean within the constraints of the existing law or within the constraint of a government procedure such as a voting system; As they stood outside and apart from their own present government at that time, and had no "legal" government.
They were individuals making a stand.
This imposed a power of a people, any group of people; not of a, or any, government.
The Declaration of Independence defines
1.) a free individual his first right and duty and;
2.) 40 Definitions of a Tyrannical government in which to impose your first right and duty upon.
The Constitution's purpose is to fully, in compliance with the Declaration of Independence's foundation, limit the powers of the Federal Government.
This is the sole purpose of the Constitution; and it does not, in any way, overwrite the foundations and duties laid out by the Declaration of Independence. |

Clearly as written in the Constitution Article VI, that the Constitution is bound by prior Oaths which are Engagements of the People, declared in The Declaration of Independence, and all agreements set forth in the Confederation; All those and future laws subject ultimately to those oaths which are "Engagements" of and with the People presented in the Declaration of Independence, "Not Withstanding".
Constitution: Article VI: All Debts contracted "and "Engagements" entered into (Oaths and Declarations), before the adoption of this Constitution, shall be as valid against the United States under this Constitution as under the "Confederation". This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be "made" in >>>"pursuance thereof" ; and all Treaties (Oaths and Declarations) "made", or which shall be "made", under the Authority of the United States, shall be supreme Law of the Land ...."
Note that any law made under the Constitution is limited to laws within the "DELEGATED" Powers; The federal legislature - federal government cannot create laws outside those very limited delegated powers, nor can they "arrogate" ANY new powers.
Police powers are limited to the 10 miles square of Washington DC The Supremacy Clause is a limited power; It cannot exceed the delegated powers.
These are clearly defined by the Founders in the Constitutional Debates in the Ratifying Conventions of 1788.

It is the party's position that any requirement to be recognized; other than simply notifying the state, is unconstitutional; and serves only to bar competition against the entrenched parties.
We are against regulations on fundraising as they too serve only to bar smaller parties from receiving necessary donations in which to compete.
We are against any government money being spent on any candidate or political foundation.

We have on occasion received emails from the Catholic community voicing concern after they read the "Rights of the Colonists" and our comments in regard to toleration following that document in our Platform;
Rest assured the comparisons are to be related only to the historical misuse of state church powers imposed upon people considered heretics at that time in history.
Catholics are welcome in the party.

The comparison was simply a historical one of long past atrocities of old Catholic and papist state church practices no longer in existence.
Relating as to that particular line from Samuel Adams, as he summarized John Locke's findings with regard to Sects (or anyone for that matter) that are subversive to the civil government;
We have since placed a paragraph on our pages of Locke and Rights of the Colonists to help relieve this concern.
As presented on our web site; and is clearly apparent by reading Samuel Adam's Absolute Rights of the Colonists and John Locke's letter on toleration ,
The Rights of the Colonists is a One page Summary of John Locke's eight page "Civil Government" and some references from Locke's "Letter on Toleration".
This particular quote can be found on John Locke's "Letter on Toleration" around Paragraph 71, counting even the spaced one line sentences, as paragraphs; Or found by copying a sentence and doing a page word search for that sentence, it will bring you right to it;
We plan to "number" Locke's Toleration paragraphs and will probably do so in the near future for easier reference

John Locke: (On Toleration):
" ... Again: "That" Church can have no right to be tolerated by the magistrate which is "constituted upon such a bottom" that all those who "enter into it" do thereby ipso facto deliver themselves up to "the protection" "and service" of "another prince".
For by this means the magistrate would give way to the settling of a "foreign jurisdiction" in his "own country" and suffer his own people to be listed, as it were, for "soldiers against his own Government". Nor does the frivolous and fallacious distinction between the Court and the Church afford any remedy to this inconvenience; especially when both the one and the other are equally subject to the absolute authority of the same person, who has not only power to persuade the members of his Church to whatsoever "he lists", either as purely religious, or in order thereunto, but can also enjoin it them on pain of eternal fire.
It is ridiculous for any one to profess himself to be a Mahometan only in his religion, but in everything else a faithful subject to a Christian magistrate, whilst at the same time he acknowledges himself bound to yield blind obedience to the Mufti of Constantinople, who himself is entirely obedient to the Ottoman Emperor and frames the feigned oracles of that religion according to his pleasure.
But this Mahometan living amongst Christians would yet more apparently renounce their government if he acknowledged the same person to be head of his Church who is the supreme magistrate in the state.
Lastly, those are not at all to be tolerated who deny the being of a God.
Promises, covenants, and oaths, which are the bonds of human society, can have no hold upon an atheist. The taking away of God, though but even in thought, dissolves all;
besides also, those that by their atheism undermine and destroy all religion, can have no pretence of religion whereupon to challenge the privilege of a toleration.
As for other practical opinions, though not absolutely free from all error, if they do not tend to establish domination over others, or civil impunity to the Church in which they are taught, there can be no reason why they should not be tolerated. ..."

This was summarized by Samuel Adams: (Rights as Men - In Regard to Religion):
"that such toleration ought to be extended to all whose doctrines are not subversive of society."
The first of these paragraphs establishes the reason;

Important Note:
This lesson can be applied to many other relationships to the same dangers of allowing foreign jurisdictions or powers to establish any hold over people who reside under local freely consented legislatives and constitutions.
Corporations are a "State born" "Exclusive Privilege" (also possessing traits of collective, cartel or monopoly) along with unions, tax supported special interests; and "undelegated" (under the original compact that granted the legislative power) self perpetuating state and federal bureaucracies;
"State born Exclusive Privileges" which should not exist in a free country, - (See Virginia Declaration of Rights #4 and Constitutional Debates) create a "condition" where people become dependent to "Powers", whatever they may be, outside the local legislative;
More dangerous however, is when citizens are dependent upon such exclusive privileges through employment, that have stocks owned by foreign investors, or to other forms of interest (UN, Environmental, Federal Reserve, etc.), that owe homage to another foreign government, or organized cause;
A power, that from existing outside that of the local commonwealths, counties and states legislatures, can create sway to local issues and to our freedoms themselves, by such dependency to that power (by employment, by investment or other).

Often people are led to read modern books by new authors with interpretations not in line with historical reasoning;
We suggest that you read the Founders documents and letters first.
There are several documents that cut right to the point.
These are:

1.) The Virginia and Kentucky Resolutions by James Madison and Thomas Jefferson.
This is a Simple 2 page in length "MUST READ" that establishes the intent of the Authors of both the Declaration of Independence and Constitution.
We have placed these on our Candidates page.
Note that this is a wide page; On arriving, follow red arrow to right.
Make special note: to James Madison in the Virginia Resolution when the change to a monarchy occurs;
It occurs when the states consolidate into "One Nation"
This should make you think twice about ever repeating those very words established by the federal government "itself" in the pledge of allegiance during the 1930's in the attempt to instill nationalism or national socialism.
When clearly we are 50 free and independent state nations with a very limited exclusive "Compact" "under the title and style of Constitution"; described as such by the authors themselves (see Virginia and Kentucky Resolutions); Which is subject to, and ultimately under the control of, the states citizens and state legislatures;
Note also: Paragraphs 1 and 8 of the Kentucky Resolution, where Thomas Jefferson again establishes the limitations of the Federal Powers and the Right and Duty of the States to place in check any arrogation of new or undelegated federal powers.
These Resolutions stopped the federal government in it's tracks when it tried to establish the undelegated powers in the Alien and Sedition act under the John Adam's administration; Further establishing even founders can be lulled into dangerous laws by corrupt legislatures.
States Legislatures, if not also as corrupted, should take note and use such resolutions now to simply NULLIFY all undelegated federal powers; So to curb misuse of federal powers; and to stop taking money for federal mandates that expand federal powers through bribery.
If you do not let the money leave the state and the people, you will not have to beg to get it back.

2.) Constitutional Debate Dated MONDAY, June 16, 1788.

We have placed this one day constitutional debate IN FULL on our 2006 National News Letter.
Approximately 8 pages in length, it presents the intent of the founders, the warnings of Patrick Henry, George Mason, and the Assurances given by James Madison, Edmund Pendleton, George Nicholas; The observations of state powers by John Marshal;
Establishing reserved and retained powers of the independent states, and the limited delegated powers of the federal government that cannot be expanded in any way outside the limited delegated powers.
New powers cannot be arrogated by the house and senate; Nor can they be "ratified" by the states through any means, as the Constitution is a limited delegated power document.
This is important in the understanding, that the "Supreme Law" granted of the Constitution to the federal government is only supreme within the limited confines of the "delegated powers".
Outside of that, the people themselves, the local community legislatives - defined as any well organized community, protected also by Judicial reason and state legislatives, are the supreme.

3.) John Locke on Civil Government 1689, is an absolute must read as it is the basic foundation and philosophy behind all of our laws.
A short 8 pages (set in one web page) that illustrate the limited powers of authority between man, the legislative, judicial and the executive.
The basics regarding the State of Nature, the Laws of Nature and Common Law.

4.) The Absolute Rights of The Colonists 1772, Samuel Adams, established as the "Father of the Revolution" wrote this simple 1 page summary of John Locke's civil government, word for word in some places; that illustrates the close tie to John Locke's Philosophy.
Note his limitation in regard to power of a person over representative governments and legislatures:
Stipulating property cannot be taken, "Neither in person OR by his representative"
"...The supreme power cannot Justly take from any man, any part of his property without his consent, in person or by his Representative.--
These are some of the first principles of natural law & Justice, and the great Barriers of all free states..."
The "Supreme law" of the Federal government, is therefor stopped in it's tracks by it's limited delegated powers;
As it is not delegated to take property permanently. It is only allowed temporary "USE" as a war powers act, for the limited purpose of defending that very person's ownership of that property and must compensate and then return that property to the owner. It is not delegated to take and keep, nor distribute to others.
This would be against the intent and an arrogating of new undelegated powers which is fully prohibited.
This is further established in the same document when Samuel Adams presents:
"...It is utterly irreconcileable to these principles, and to many other "fundamental maxims of the common law, common sense and reason", that a British house of commons, should have a right, at pleasure, to "give and grant the property of the Colonists".

Review:
How Supreme is the Supreme law of the Constitution or of the house, president and senate?
When it (the federal legislative) stays within the delegated powers it is supreme ONLY within those areas delegated.
If it steps outside the delegated powers, it's acts are void and of no force (see Virginia and Kentucky resolutions) and subject to removal by the "states"; Which have a Natural Right and are DUTY BOUND to arrest it.
James Madison (see debates):
"...An observation fell from a gentleman, on the same side with myself, which deserves to be attended to.
*** If we be dissatisfied with the "national (federal) government", if we "should choose to renounce {415} it",
"this is an additional safeguard to "our defence"."
It is ultimately the responsibility of the states, judicial, local communities and people to make sure the federal government stays within the delegated powers and not to pander or become dependent to any undelegated uses of power or legislation. |

While reviewing any videos or information from the Heritage Foundation, beware of the insertion of information not in line with true freedom as defined by the founders or attempts by groups such as the Heritage Foundation that promote "exclusive privileges" as "free trade" under the "guise" of "Freedom of Contract".
Beware of "Exclusive Privileged" trade, i.e. State born exclusive privileges such as Corporations, Unions, Tax supported Special Interests or Undelegated (under the Original Compact) self perpetuating federal or state bureaucracies; being "passed off" as "Free Trade".
They are Collectives; Cartels and Monopolies; Creating not free trade, but "exclusive privileged trade".
When challenged, fiscal republicans scream "freedom of contract" ; Which has been corrupted by the addition of the "exclusive privilege" in the form of the corporation, which should not exist in a free country; and should not be or have unlimited grant of contract; as it's whole existence is subject to the general public;
That others can create corporations is no excuse to allow something that "should not exist in the fist place"; Exclusive Privileged Collectives eventually choke out true free enterprise; Where as independents are crowded out, they tend to migrate to those collectives for survival which worsens the situation.
See Virginia Declaration of Rights #4; And our 2006 News letter that presents a full days Constitutional Debate; James Madison in short states "far be it from them to grant exclusive privileges to anyone";
Further, it allows foreign control, through stocks, of American soil and businesses; These subvert the powers of the local legislative, causing dependency of those it employs, to foreign interests; who owe homage to a foreign legislature;
This is against the philosophy of freedom;
See John Locke regarding Toleration, where citizens owing homage to another entity (power - Pope used as the example back then) gives way to granting that entity soldiers against the local legislative (magistrate) to be stationed within the borders of a Magistrates own Country;
This is opposed to the local legislative which is supposed to be supreme (limited powers granted by the people), to be fully supported by the people and in-turn for the legislative to be fully in defense of the people's local interests and safety;
Weigh all information, carefully.
